Without Dostoevsky to live it is possible, but …

 

You tried to live, not reading Dostoevsky's products? Tried? And at you it turns out?! Strange … After all, according to UNESCO, Feodor Mihajlovich Dostoevsky — one of the most readable writers of world classics. That is, millions and millions people on globe of all nationalities read and re-read products of Russian genius almost in all languages, trying to find in them answers to any vital questions for itself. Regularly enough most from most "ushiblennyh" Dostoevsky of the people who have become by experts in creativity of the writer (them name "dostoevskovedami"), are going to that in the USA, in Japan at us in Petersburg or Staraya Russa, to exchange opinions. Last on time a similar forum — the International anniversary symposium «Dostoevsky in the modern world. 1821—2001» — has taken place in the end of the past year in Moscow and has been devoted the 180 anniversary from the date of a birth of the writer. Even if you do not read Dostoevsky, to you, possibly, it will be interesting to learn, than involves its creativity millions and millions people and about what experts in Dostoevsky speak at such forums. Especially to learn it it is possible, that is called, first-hand, for the participant of the given international symposium has had the luck to become our fellow countryman, Tambov writer Sergey NASEDKINU.

– Sergey Nikolaevich, let's begin that, as far as I know, you have gone to Moscow not with empty hands …

– Yes, printing house TGU of a name of Derzhavin has had time to print the first copies of circulation of my book «Dostoevsky: a portrait through the author's text» which whole year before it, completely ready for printing, laid without movement. However, it is our internal problems. Important another: I not only have written-has created this voluminous (550 pages!) work, but also itself has typed the text on the computer, has made a dummy and book registration so when some participants of a symposium were surprised: «Really IT and SO it is published in provincial high school?!», — I felt pride not only of, but also of darling university where I work and I am the competitor on degree of a Cand.Phil.Sci. at chair of history of Russian literature. By the way, under this book I also am going to to be protected.

– On its cover Dostoevsky's two identical portraits as though in mirror reflexion are represented is something symbolises?

– Quite right: a theme dvojnichestva — one of the most global in creativity of this writer. At it, as is known, even the story is under the name "Double".

– But after all speech in your book goes not only about it?

– Certainly. If to be exact, it is the collection from four research texts: «Underground person Dostoevsky as the person», «the Hero-writer in Dostoevsky's world», «Dostoevsky's Minus. Dostoevsky and the Jewish question» and «Dostoevsky's Suicide». I think, already from names themes and as scientists like are well clear also to be expressed, a problematics of researches. Not to spread thought on a tree, I will tell, that the basic and on volume in the book (4/5), and on value — job about suicide. It, in essence, — the new biography of the writer-classic and its new creative portrait, considered through a prism of a suicide theme. And the suicide theme not that that a red thread — a red rope has passed through all creativity and Feodor Mihajlovicha's life.

– As far as I know, in ZHZL already there is Dostoevsky's biography, and the new what for is necessary?

– In ZHZL books about Dostoevsky even two. But business, whether see, that as has absolutely correctly noticed unforgettable Kozma Prutkov, — it is impossible objat immense. As it is impossible to create, for example, the one and only and universal map of the whole country so it is impossible also the creator of scale Dostoevsky, Pushkin or Tolstoy to squeeze in one issledovatelsko-biographic book. For this reason, I consider, and have suffered creative failure Leonid Grossman and Jury Seleznev — authors fundamental on volume and a plan of biographies of Dostoevsky in a series «Life of remarkable people». It Igor Volgin, having created the most adequate book-research for today about the author of "Brothers Karamazovyh» — «Last year has avoided Dostoevsky». I, having threatened on the new biography of the writer, have set for myself modest enough problem: to add in created by efforts of hundreds literary critics «Dostoevsky's Atlas» (we will continue analogy-metaphor) one more map.

– And why your "map" is devoted suicide?

– Because, strangely enough, it there was one of most maloizuchennyh (or ignored!) that in dostoevskovedenii. And after all, I will repeat, it is one of most "capital" (Dostoevsky's liked word!) that both in his life, and in creativity. After all it practically in each product has suicides. It — first. And secondly, a suicide — one of the most burning problems and our time. Dostoevsky in general one of the advanced writers. And it is present at my book.

– Hardly in the Tambov archives there is something connected with Dostoevsky. Means to you for job over the book it was necessary to go to Moscow or Peter?

– Absolutely is not present. It is possible to do opening in literary criticism, being dug in archives and publishing materials unknown earlier, and it is possible to tell and the «a new word» (Dostoevsky's again liked expression!) and — working with initial texts. For today all is published practically written to Dostoevsky so the main thing — unbiassedly to be read-get a grasp in for a long time familiar products. And the research problem consists in an exact choice of citations, their connection, comparison, collision, alternation, comparison, interpretation, decoding … And — in an exact choice of intonation. Yes, happen in research job and opening at intonation level! Main, maybe, the opening made me, consists that it is possible to speak-write about Dostoevsky's creativity by NORMAL language, without excessive scientism — is accessible to the wide range of readers. With it I was, of course, helped by my experience of the writer-prose writer.

– And why you study Dostoevsky? Perhaps it has any relation to ours Tambovshchine?

– Outright is not present, though among its close acquaintances there were many our fellow countrymen, in the end of a life it hardly was has not got a manor in Shatsky district so and as a matter of fact would become our fellow countryman, in its products Tambov often enough is mentioned. But in this plan personally for me another is remarkable: as is known, Dostoevsky for participation in a mug Petrashevsky at first has been sentenced to a death penalty with which have then replaced with penal servitude. And so, four-year-old term it left in Omsk a jail («Notes from the Dead house» — terrible annals of those unbearable years), but quite could and — in transbaikalian Aleksandrovsk Factory where left penal servitude itself Butashevich-Petrashevsky and Dostoevsky's other associates on a secret society. And the district Aleksandrovsky Factory of the Chita area is just my small native land, I there was born. In a word, any foggy and mediated communication in it is. But, certainly, I have taken a great interest in Dostoevsky completely not therefore: Simply once, in 17 years, I have read a volley (10-tomnik in grey flight of 1956 of the edition) and have understood all its products, is faster at subconscious level that is deeper and more ingenious than the writer on light simply was not present. For the past since then 30 with superfluous years I in it all am more strongly and more strongly convinced.

– The book «Dostoevsky became a result of your 30-year-old hobby for creativity of this writer also: a portrait through the author's text» from which you have gone on the international anniversary symposium. Let's hardly more in detail talk and about it. How you on it have got?

– Has received the personal invitation by e-mail. By the way, I on the Internet have a site to http://www.virginsnack.com address, on a site — the whole section under the name "Dostoevsky" where texts of my researches are hung out. So to organizers of a symposium did not make work with them to familiarise. In the Central House of scientists on Prechistenka 200 persons from more than 20 countries were going to almost and four days spoke, spoke, spoke about Dostoevsky and its creativity. Simply — a spirit feast! It has been read and heard without small 150 reports from the most abstruse to the scandalous. To the first, for example, it is possible to carry M.Knjazevoj's report «the Parity of psychological and philosophical heroes in deviations of early prose of Dostoevsky», to the second — D.Bykova's message «Dostoevsky and psychology of Russian Internet». I «Dostoevsky's Suicide (a suicide theme in a life and creativity of the writer)» read the report at section session «Dostoevsky in a real historical context» over which the writer and academician Igor Volgin and the professor from the USA Nina Perlina supervised the chairman of the Russian Fund of Dostoevsky. I can modestly tell, that my report has called rough enough applause and rather brisk polemic which has exceeded time taken away by regulations. And personally the same D.Bykova's reports (he has stated interesting idea, that, first, the Internet is populated Dostoevsky's with heroes, and, secondly, «the Diary of the writer» is as a matter of fact the on-line edition), T.Motidzuki «Dostoevsky in the modern literature» have seemed to me especially interesting  (the Japanese professor has considered examples of mockery at Dostoevsky in modern Russia like idiotic novel FMihajlova "Idiot" and not less moronic film besides on motives of this product of the classic — "Down-house"), two reports, as a matter of fact, on one theme — venerable Petersburg dostoevskoveda S.Belova «Dostoevsky and Jews» and the nice young Italian R.Vasseny «Letters of Jews to Dostoevsky» (this theme as you remember, is present and at my book) …

– But whatever were the reports interesting, really you only and listened to them all day long?

– No, certainly. Was, besides a scientific part, and the big cultural program. For example, in one of days there has passed the big poetic evening in which widely known poets (many of which have taken part were participants of a symposium and as lecturers!) — Evgenie Evtushenko, Alexander Kushner, Olesya Nikolaeva, Bahyt Kenzheyev, Sergey Gandlevsky, Jury Kublanovsky and others. Have shown us three theatrical performances on Dostoevsky from which I liked premier performance "Falbala" under the novel «Poor people», the leading role in which is played by perfect actor Alexander Filippenko. There were art exhibitions, there were excursions across Moscow which I well know (was-studied in it seven years) but which became lately unrecognizable, were, at last, buffet tables-banquets … So to miss it was not necessary.

– Sergey Nikolaevich, whether it is possible to say what the book and a symposium have brought any result to your researches of creativity of Dostoevsky?

– Only the intermediate. The given book is published, unfortunately, by scanty circulation so, naturally, I wait when basic my work — «Dostoevsky's Suicide» — leaves in capital publishing house a popular edition. And now I, already under the contract too with the Moscow publishing house, work over the new is fundamental-encyclopaedic book on a plan about Dostoevsky — give the God, by the spring I will finish.

– Apparently, you have absolutely thrown prose?

Tipun to you on language! Last year I have finished the new novel under intriguing name — "Dzhulija Roberts". It is possible to familiarise With its first part already on my site, and completely mine «the Virtual novel» (so its genre is defined) prepares for an exit, besides, in one of capital publishing houses.

– "Literature", "Dostoevsky", "symposium" … you are not afraid, Sergey Nikolaevich, what us simply will not understand? It is no secret, that many now at all do not open the book and consider, that without the literature it is quite possible to live. Perhaps they are right — that, without Dostoevsky it is impossible to live?

– People, happens, and without sight live, both without hearing, and without hands-feet — that in it good? Whether see, the person from an animal some steps, and, maybe, highest of them — the Literature, ability to write and perceive the written separate all. And it is concrete about Dostoevsky I will add: possibly, the only thing, than to us, Russian, certainly it is necessary to be proud today is Russian literature and its the most recognised all over the world the representative, the author of a "Crime and punishment" and "Demons". And if we even to be proud of it we will cease — to Russia in general it is possible to put a cross!
